Chattanooga named “Best Town Ever” by Outdoor Magazine

In the recent online poll, conducted by Outdoor Magazine, Chattanooga was recently voted by readers as the top choice in the “Best Town Ever” contest of 2011.

It may come as no surprise to many that Chattanooga would be nominated as a top destination in America for residents old and new. With continued revitalization efforts and an ever-increasing stock of cultural amenities, Chattanooga has become one of the most livable and vibrant cities in the country. The unique partnerships between city and citizenry, public and private entities, to improve local quality of life have transformed Chattanooga, Tennessee into a national model of sustainable growth and regional prosperity.

Chattanooga was named first in a 2011 democratic poll with 7434 votes outpacing a roster of 10 cities chosen by editors of Outdoor Magazine.

In 2010, Partners for Livable Communities was able to recognize the dedicated long term efforts of Chattanooga and its citizens in our 2010 Entrepreneurial Livable Community Award. Partners recognized the city for its transformation to become a model for sustainable development and prosperity today. Through the work of dedicated citizens and effective public/private partnerships, Chattanooga now boasts one of the cleanest environments, a high level of investment in jobs, connectivity and infrastructure, and a quality of life matched by few other communities.
