Overview

A region’s sustainability is highly dependent on a region’s foresight to manage its land to support future populations.  As most of our cities stand now, there is little room for cities and regions to continue their current growth patterns without greatly damaging the prospects for future generations.  Regional collaboration and smart planning is key to curb sprawl and retain our natural areas.  Regions that are doing more with less are likely to change the way they operate.  Municipal government, local businesses, community groups and philanthropic organizations must work together for regions to survive and prosper.  Often, this means a radical shift in traditional attitudes.

Partners explores regional efforts to sustain smart regional growth by encouraging regional collaboration both in governance and in the civic and private sectors towards a livable community for all.
