Enterprise Community Partners

Enterprise Community Partners provides extensive housing assistance to older adults.  Their portfolio includes more than 30,000 rental homes, worth a total of $1.7 billion of investments in quality of life and well-being for this target group.  Their efforts encompass both financial and operational solutions to senior housing owners so that they may, comfortably and affordably, maintain their current residence.

Financing efforts targeted towards older adults include tax credit equity, debt and predevelopment lending products.  Grants and low-interest predevelopment loans are provided for energy audits, financial assessments, resident services assessments, and WellAWARE sensor-based technology, a health management technology currently in the pilot stage of development.

To achieve their goals, Enterprise utilizes all possible alternatives to work as efficiently and intelligently as possible.  First, they focus development efforts on both smart and sustainable ways to effectively provide resources for seniors though their Green Communities Initiative.  Second, they leverage partnerships with various types of organizations such as the AARP, Catholic Charities of Brooklyn and Queens and the National Affordable Housing Trust.  In addition, they support policy solutions that function to create and preserve innovative senior housing.

Enterprise Community Partners is a national nonprofit that provides affordable housing opportunities to low and moderate income individuals, as well as special needs residents, around the country.  To that end, they provide capital, housing placement, and advocate for affordable housing preservation and development. They are based in Columbia, MD and have been an active part of affordable housing efforts for over 25 years.
